Returning students to APS
- You can log into ParentVUE External link to enroll your student.
- Select registration for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Review all of your student's information in each tab. Confirm that your contact information and emergency contacts are up to date.
- Upload the required documents as prompted.
- You may upload a picture of your proof of residency with your student's registration. Families have to provide proof of residency each school year. Among the documents that will be accepted is a deed or mortgage statement, current lease or housing agreement or a gas/electric bill with the parent/guardian Kinder name on it.
Families new to APS
- You will need to create a ParentVUE account to register your student. Review the ParentVUE Registration Instructions.
- Select registration for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Complete all tabs of the registration.

If your family is new to APS and does not have a ParentVUE account:
- Create a ParentVUE account to register your student. Review "Create Your ParentVUE Account" for instructions.
- Select registration for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Complete all tabs of the registration.
- Upload the required documents as prompted.
- Send your proof of residency to your school. For the 2024-2025 school year, you may upload a picture of your proof of residency and upload it with your student's registration. Families have to provide proof of residency each school year. Kindergarten enrollment requirements
To be enrolled in an Albuquerque Public Schools kindergarten, a child shall be at least five years of age prior to 12:01 a.m., on September 1, of the school year in which they are enrolling. Follow steps for new or returning students to APS, which is mentioned above.
Pre-Kinder enrollment requirements
- The student must be 4 years old starting August 31, 2024.
- No transfer is needed for Pre-K students.
- The student must live within the attendance zone of the District of Albuquerque Public Schools.
Follow steps above for new students coming to APS. Remember that registration is not a guarantee because demand is higher than availability.
