Student Assistance Team (SAT)

The team includes the representative from every grade level, and may also invite participation from the counselor, special and regular education teachers, nurse, and representatives from Title I and Bilingual Education Program.  Their purpose is to find ways to support student success in the regular classroom. When necessary, S.A.T. can recommend pre-testing for the following concerns:  academics, speech, vision, hearing, behavior, and gifted and/or talented. The parent/guardian will always be notified by mail of any scheduled meeting.  Neither the S.A.T nor the school staff can test a student or make a placement without parental consent.
